Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, President of ECK Foundation, has expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Ohafia, particularly the families of the victims of the tragic road accident that occurred in Amaekpu Ohafia, Abia State.
The accident, which was caused by brake failure of a heavy-duty truck, claimed the lives of a commercial motorcycle operator and a school pupil.

“I am deeply saddened by this heartbreaking accident that cut short two precious lives,” Chief Kalu said. “My thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by this tragedy. I urge all road users, especially heavy-duty truck drivers, to be more cautious and prioritize safety at all times.”
Chief Kalu also called on road safety agencies, including the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Abia State Traffic Management Agency (TIMAS), to implement road safety measures and ensure such tragedies do not reoccur.
As a philanthropist and leader, Chief Kalu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the well-being of his community, and his condolences reflect his empathy for the families affected by this tragedy.
