Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali-Biu, emphasized the importance of professionalism and respect in interactions with motorists and pedestrians during the first quarter corps marshal’s strategy session in Abuja.
Ali-Biu urged FRSC operatives to prioritize professionalism and respect in their engagements with motorists and pedestrians, emphasizing the values of humanity and empathy. He stressed the significance of building trust and positive relationships with communities to ensure effective service delivery nationwide.
Addressing concerns of indiscipline and corruption within the corps, Ali-Biu cautioned personnel against unprofessionalism and corrupt practices. He emphasized the need for adherence to globally accepted ethics, the rule of law, and integrity at all times, stating that any form of corruption would be met with swift and severe consequences.
The FRSC boss highlighted the issue of overzealousness and incivility towards the public, pledging to address such perceptions and ensure fair treatment of citizens. He expressed concern over the incidents of FRSC operatives being knocked down while on duty, vowing to collaborate with stakeholders and sister security agencies to tackle the problem and bring perpetrators to justice.
Ali-Biu affirmed his commitment to safeguarding FRSC operatives from inhumane treatment while carrying out their duties, promising decisive action against those responsible for harming or killing officers.
