The All Progressives Congress, APC hopeful in the November 2023 Kogi gubernatorial election, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has re-emphasized his resolve to prioritize youth empowerment as the surest approach to ensuring that the youths are useful to themselves and the society, thereby curbing many social vices like cultism, drug abuse, trafficking, and other harmful practices associated with idleness induced by unemployed.

The Indefatigable leader gave this assurance when a group of youths in the state paid him a courtesy visit to register support for his candidacy.  He said he has taken time to understudy the trend as a grassroots politician who has been in close contact with the youths over a long time, saying that one of the best approaches to curbing societal ills is to nib it from the roots by empowering, educating and engaging the youths in productive ventures that will take them away from the negative vibes.

Ododo vowed to make youth-related policies one of the most important duties he will pursue as a governor to negotiate a future for the youths and guarantee better development of the state. He reiterated that security, peace, and progress will be experienced when the youths are positively engaged and this will reflect in their immediate families and spread to rhe society.

He, therefore, seeks the support and vote of the electorates in the State in November to usher in a better future for the youths and the progress of the people when he takes over the helm of affairs as the governor of Kogi state, insha Allah.
