Ambassador Dr Osita Offor (Ultimate Commander), the convener of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots Forum (UAAP), has appreciated the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, and the commander of the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia, Brigadier General Nsikak Edet, for the peace that has been restored in Umunneochi, Isuikwuato LGAs and it’s environed after months of kidnapping and other forms of criminal activities.

Ultimate Commander, together with other well-known UAAP members, presented the commendation on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the commandant at the 14 Brigade Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, Ohafia.

He said that everyone who values peace should place a high priority on the security of people’s lives and property. Offor, the “Ultimate Commander,” encouraged the Nigerian Army and other security organizations to keep up their efforts to uphold the calm on the ground and combat insecurity in the region and Abia state as a whole.

After the visit, in an interview with Abia Facts Newspaper, Ultimate Commander stated that “The security situation in Isuikwuato and Umunneochi Local Government Areas is gradually returning to normal, thanks to Governor Alex Otti’s political commitment to resolving the issue and the swift and effective response of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies”.

“We must commend the governor for having the political will and taking prompt measures to ensure that the security situation in Isuikwuato/Umunneochi is resolved as soon as possible during his first 100 days in office. Currently, there are security personnel and military personnel stationed all across the route in Umunneochi, including in the forest”.

“The Governor Otti’s recently implemented Operation Crush is quite successful, and our people are now content. Based on that, we decided to visit and express our gratitude to the military as UAAP members, and we also plan to visit and express our gratitude to the leaders of other security agencies in Abia State.

Finally, he said, “UAAP is quite pleased with the governor for the restoration of security and we will continue to support him and stand with him.
