The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Mission Hill Umuahia, Abia State, honored the Action Democratic Party, ADP candidate for the Ohafia South State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly for the 2023 general election.

The Minister in Charge, The Revd Ibe Uduma Obasi, while presenting the award described Chief Ebin Kalu Orji as a worthy son who will do the people proud as he has been up and about in his commitment and support to the growth of the body of Christ at all times.

“The Church has risen to the challenge of making a difference in the political landscape of Abia state in 2023 because we can no longer stand by the side while unbelievers continue to choose leaders that make decisions that affect our lives. This practice must change as the church will be part of choosing leaders in 2023.

“God is the one that gives us leaders according to his desires, he ordained them to preside over us, but I know that the gifts of God make rich and add no sorrow,” he said.

On his part, Chief Obia Kalu expressed happiness for the encouragement received from the Church and promises that his representation will usher in a new era of refocusing the consciousness of the people to God as our only hope and accountability as a key to good stewardship. He vows to be accountable to God and the people as a servant leader at all times.

Highlights of the church service included high praise and worship to God in celebration of his love, coverage, and provision for his Children all year round. It was a display of spirited thanksgiving and adoration to the maker of heaven and earth.
