The Labour Party candidate for Abia North Senatorial Zone in 2023, Hon. Nnamdi Iro Orji, popularly known as OPOTOYOM, has once again reiterated his preparedness and commitment to the total redefinition of the way Abia North is represented in the Red Chambers of Nigeria Legislative House come 2023.

He made this assertion while speaking to journalists in Umuahia on Wednesday, insisting that 2023 is a year in the political life of Nigeria when the old order must give way for the new one and the welfare of the people becomes the only purpose for which politics is played for the people through internal democracy and accountability.

“The time has passed when the destiny of the youths is left in the hands of older and fading elders who have gluttonously clung unto power for decades without plans of relinquishing same to their children. For that reason, we must wrestle the power from them to rebuild our state, rewrite our destiny, and rekindle our passion for a greater tomorrow.

“We have come to a point in our history when we must take our destinies into our hands. When we must determine our future by the actions of our today which we must hold sacrosanct.

“Labour Party has offered us the best vehicle to convey our dreams and actualize our realities beyond 2023, it is then our calling to actualize its realities.

“I call on the youths, the women, elders, and all electorates of Abia North to support my candidacy to the Senate so that dividends of democracy will be guaranteed and our tomorrow assured”, he said.

Meanwhile, Nnamdi Iro Orji has done tremendously well in setting up formidable structures in all the grassroots of Abia North Senatorial Zone. The prospects for a successful 2023 election are truly promising.
