As part of activities marking his second anniversary in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member Representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, is set to commission a series of vital constituency projects executed across selected wards under the 2024 and 2025 budget years.

The commissioning ceremony, scheduled for dates to be announced in July 2025, will highlight two years of impactful and people-centered representation that goes beyond legislation.

These projects reflect Hon. Osonwa’s commitment to grassroots development and the fulfillment of his promise to deliver projects in no fewer than six wards each year. They will add to several initiatives already commissioned since he assumed office in 2023.

Projects to be Commissioned:

1. Phase One: 500 meters of the 3km Mgbaga Federal High Court Road, constructed with cement bricks – Ebem, Ohafia LGA.
2. Solar-Powered Borehole – Umuye, Ihechiowa, Arochukwu LGA.
3. Solar-Powered Borehole – Ugwuakuma, Arochukwu, Arochukwu LGA.
4. Construction and Furnishing of Modern 3-Classroom Block – Ukwa Community Primary School, Nkporo, Ohafia LGA.
5. Construction and Furnishing of Modern 3-Classroom Block – Abam High School, Ozu Abam, Arochukwu LGA.
6. Construction and Furnishing of Modern 6-Classroom Block – Abia Community Primary School, Abia, Ohafia LGA.
7. Installation of Integrated Solar-Powered Streetlights – Major Markets and Motor Parks across Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.

Ongoing Projects for Inspection:

1. Rehabilitation of 1km Ihenta (Ibina) Road – Ebem, Ohafia LGA.
2. Flag-Off of Selected Public Health Centres – Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
3. Flag-Off of Selected Schools – Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
4. Ongoing Construction of Solar-Powered Borehole – Okon Aku, Ohafia LGA.

Road Infrastructure and Strategic Collaborations:

In alignment with his campaign manifesto, Hon. Osonwa continues to collaborate with state and federal government agencies to facilitate the rehabilitation and development of major roads and highways, including:

Amasa–Amakofia–Ugwuakuma Road.

Arochukwu–Ohafia Road (Ongoing via State Collaboration).

Rehabilitation of 1km Damaged Section at Nmuri – Ebem Ohafia on the F107 Umuahia–Ohafia Road (Ongoing via State Government).

Ancient Arochukwu Trading Route: Arochukwu–Ndi Okereke–Atan–Ndi Agwu–Ndi (Ongoing via State Government).

Ekete–Idima Abam–Bende Road, Arochukwu LGA (Engineering Evaluation Ongoing via State Government).

Ndi Ebe Abam Access Road (Engineering Evaluation Ongoing).

Ozu Abam–Ndi Oji–Ndi Okereke Abam Road, Arochukwu LGA (Ongoing via State Government).

Special Project Inspection:

Ongoing Reconstruction of the Omenuko Bridge – Ozu Abam, Arochukwu LGA.

This milestone underscores Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa’s unwavering dedication to improving education, infrastructure, water, energy access, and digital opportunities in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. His efforts are in synergy with the progressive strides of His Excellency, Governor Alex Chioma Otti.
