The President of ECK Foundation Worldwide, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has strongly condemned the recent killing of two Chinese nationals and their police escort in Isuikwuato, Abia State. The attack, which occurred on April 4, 2025, near the Huan Cheng Mining Quarry site at Agukwu Amaya, Ndundu community, has sparked widespread outrage and concern.
According to reports, the victims, Mr. Quan and Mr. Cai, along with their police escort, Inspector Audu Saidu, were ambushed and killed while en route to the mining site. Two others, including a police officer, sustained injuries, while three Chinese nationals were rescued unhurt.

Chief Dr. Kalu expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the Chinese government, describing the incident as “senseless and barbaric.” He called on the authorities to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure that such attacks do not recur.
The ECK Foundation Worldwide president emphasized the need for increased security measures to protect foreign investors and nationals, citing the importance of foreign investment in driving economic growth and development in Nigeria. He urged the government of Dr. Alex Otti to take further steps in line with his resolve to offer good governance to address the security challenges in order to create a safe and conducive environment for business and investment.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of foreign nationals in Nigeria, and Chief Dr. Kalu’s condemnation highlights the need for urgent action to address this issue. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and it is hoped that those responsible will be brought to justice soon.
