Abia State, Nigeria – Governor Alex Otti’s recent visit to Abia State University (ABSU) has been hailed as a significant milestone in the state’s education sector. HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha, Ohuruzo 1 of Ohuhu, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Governor for finding time to visit the university and honoring Senator Chris Adighije on his 80th birthday celebration.

The Governor’s commitment to improving the welfare of students and the university’s infrastructure has been applauded by stakeholders. His people-oriented leadership has brought about a significant positive change in Abia State, with efforts to revamp the education sector, particularly in ABSU, being noteworthy.
HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha who is the Chairman of Royal Renaissance and Grand Patron of Esenaebiri, acknowledged that ABSU has been in dire need of attention and support over the years. He stated that the Governor’s visit and presence have brought about hope and renewed optimism for the future of the foremost educational institution. The proposed construction of a 5,000-capacity hostel is a welcome development that will improve the learning environment for students.


“Governor Otti’s administration has focused on good governance, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment. His commitment to education and the welfare of students has been demonstrated through his visit to ABSU and his proposed projects for the university”, he said.
The esteemed Royalty expressed his eagerness in witnessing the positive changes that will unfold in the days ahead. He thanked the Governor for his visit and for recognizing the importance of the university.
