Nigeria’s Super Eagles soared to victory with a 2-0 win over Rwanda in their FIFA World Cup qualifier match.
The star of the show was undoubtedly Victor Osimhen, who scored a brilliant brace to seal the deal for Nigeria.
Osimhen’s first goal came in the 11th minute, courtesy of a well-executed free-kick by Ademola Lookman. The Galatasaray striker found himself unmarked at the back post and made no mistake in volleying the ball home.
His second goal was just as impressive, with Osimhen streaming clear from halfway and showcasing his clever footwork with a dinked finish over Rwanda’s goalkeeper, Fiacre Ntwari.
This win marks a significant turnaround for Nigeria’s World Cup qualification campaign, which had been struggling prior to this match.
