OBI BLASTS TINUBU’S GOVT: ‘More Yahoo People in Govt Than Outside’

Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, has made a startling claim that there are more individuals with questionable character, referred to as “Yahoo people,” within President Bola Tinubu’s government than outside of it.

Obi expressed his concerns while delivering a keynote address at Nexford University’s fourth graduation ceremony. He emphasized that Nigeria has become a hub for corrupt activities, with both government officials and outsiders engaging in nefarious acts.

Obi stressed that the country’s problems stem from a lack of quality leadership, which has allowed corrupt officials to exploit the system. He argued that effective leadership is not about complicated solutions, but rather about having a strong character and making difficult decisions.

According to Obi, “It is about leadership and igniting the future… It is being able to have a strong character – the ability not to do the wrong thing”.
