This call for unity is timely, considering the vital role Ohanaeze Ndigbo plays in protecting and promoting the interests of Ndigbo.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, as the apex sociocultural body representing the Igbo people, has a crucial responsibility in galvanizing Ndigbo towards development and fostering positive relationships with other communities. However, internal conflicts and disagreements among its leaders have hindered the organization’s ability to achieve its goals. This is where HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha’s call for peace comes in – emphasizing the need for harmony and cooperation among Ohanaeze Ndigbo leaders.

In his words: “Unity is essential for any organization, and Ohanaeze Ndigbo is no exception. When its leaders are united, the organization can speak with one voice, promoting the interests of Ndigbo more effectively. A united Ohanaeze Ndigbo can also foster a sense of belonging among Igbo people, encouraging them to work together towards common goals.

“Unity within Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership can also facilitate better decision-making. When leaders are at odds with each other, decision-making becomes cumbersome, and progress is hindered. On the other hand, a united leadership can make decisions more efficiently, allowing the organization to respond promptly to challenges and opportunities”, he said.

As Grand Patron, Ezenaebiri, HRH Eze Bobby Aguocha, Ohuruzo I of Umuohuru, has a significant trust for Ohanaeze Ndigbo as veritable tool for protection of interest of Ndigbo in Nigeria. His call for peace is a testament to his commitment to the organization’s success and his desire to see Ndigbo united.
