Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has made a bold commitment to tackle the pressing issues affecting his constituency. One of the major challenges he plans to address is the power supply crisis in Ohafia, which has been exacerbated by wire cable vandalism. Okwara has vowed to prosecute these vandals, acknowledging that the crime has political undertones, but remains determined to deal with it nonetheless.
Another issue affecting power supply in Ohafia is the estimated billing system employed by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC). Okwara has assured his constituents that he will follow the laws guiding estimated billing in Nigeria to resolve this issue without grieve implications to the people.

In addition to addressing power supply challenges, Okwara has also pledged to resolve the lingering issue of the road leading to Mmiri Bridge. He attributed the delay in completing the road project to political bottlenecks surrounding the award of the road which he assured will be investigated by the relevant committees of the house to ensure speed up of the work. He also expressed his determination to find a solution through political means.
Okwara also addressed concerns about youth empowerment and employment in the constituency. While acknowledging that his efforts in this area may not have been widely publicized, he assured that a comprehensive list of beneficiaries would be made available to the public. He believes that it is the responsibility of the beneficiaries to share their success stories with the public.

When asked about his approach to handling online criticism, Okwara revealed that he prefers to educate his detractors with factual information, rather than engaging in direct confrontations. He is confident that, over time, his constituents will come to appreciate the progress he has made in improving the constituency.
Furthermore, Okwara addressed the communal clash between the ISU community in Arochukwu LGA and their riverine neighbors. He assured that efforts are being made to resolve the issue through the boundary commission and advised residents to go about their businesses as usual. He has also instructed the police to maintain a presence in the area until the boundary dispute is resolved.
The stakeholders’ meeting at Okwara’s county home was a significant event, where he met with councilors, ward leaders, LGA leaders, and gave out charisma awards to attendees. This meeting underscores Okwara’s commitment to engaging with his constituents and working towards the betterment of the constituency.
