Chief Chidiebere J. Okoh, an APC Chieftain in Abia State, has clarified that the recent claims suggesting a rift between Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu and Governor Alex Otti over the proposed Abia Airport project are unfounded.
According to Okoh, both leaders are working together to ensure Abia’s progressive indices remain on the positive trajectory. He stated that they are contributing their quota through pragmatic political efforts at the federal and state level.
Okoh emphasized that there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work involved in projects like this, including lobbying, goodwill exchange, and underground efforts. He noted that Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has been a driving force in pushing for positive programs that benefit the Southeast and Abia State.
Okoh commended Kalu’s role in facilitating the approval of the airport project at the federal level, stating that it should be recognized and appreciated rather than politicized.
He urged people like Paul Alfred Nwangwa (the unknown author of the piece) and the public to focus on the bigger picture – the development of Abia State – rather than creating unnecessary tension no matter the amount they are paid to so such hatched jobs. Okoh emphasized that the collective efforts of the state’s leaders should be celebrated.
Finally, Okoh cautioned against mischief makers and naysayers who seek to create division and tension, urging them to put the interest of the masses at heart and work towards a common goal – the progress of Abia State.
