A witness has described seeing a man with a rifle on a rooftop just before shots were fired at Donald Trump, the former US president.
There was an attempt on Trump’s life on Saturday during his election campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, as OHAFIATV had previously reported.
The man had crawled on top of a building about 50 feet away from the rally, according to Greg Smith, who was listening to Trump from outside the event.
Smith claimed that after he saw the man, he pointed the gunman towards the police to get their attention.
According to the New York Post, the gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, pointed his gun at Trump and fired, piercing his ear.
Smith told the BBC he saw Secret Service agents shoot the gunman, who was instantly killed by the security personnel.
“We saw the guy bear-crawling up the building’s roof, 50 feet away,” the man remarked.
“It was evident that he possessed a rifle.
“Hey man, there’s a guy on the roof with a rifle,” we say, gesturing to him as the police rush around on the ground below us. and the police were in the dark about what was happening.
He questioned, “Why isn’t the Secret Service on every roof here?”
This location is not large.
“It is a complete and utter security failure.
“They ensured he was dead by crawling up on the roof with their guns aimed at him.” It was over because he was dead, he continued.
