Legislative Achievements:

● Has he sponsored or co-sponsored any bills? Yes, over 4 bills & 3 motions

1. He sponsored the bills for the upgrading of Ohafia General Hospital to Federal Medical Centre (FMC)
2. Freight Forwarding Bill
3. Co-sponsored State Policing Bill and which has passed second reading
4. Co-sponsored Bill to amend the Nigerian constitution from Presidential to Parliamentary System of Government
   Motions:
5. Need for Urgent intervention on erosion affected areas in Amaekpu, Elu, Ebem, Ndi-Uduma Awoke, Nkporo, Abiriba and Okpo Ihechiowa
6. Urgent need to establish a peacekeeping post in Isu Community to aid peace over a long boundary dispute.
7. Urgent need to Re-Energise Ohafia Local Government Electricity Power and reconcile exorbitant bills awarded to the communities.

● Will they address any specific concerns of his constituents? Absolutely

Constituency Service:

● How accessible has he been to his constituents? Very accessible, he moves and interacts with constituents freely.
● How visible has he been to his constituents? Hon. Ibe, to the best of my knowledge, travels home not less than twice every month and to aid his absence while representing in the National Assembly, he appointed 30 Special Assistants from 22 wards for a constant check and effective delivery of the dividend of government to his constituents.
● Has he held town hall meetings or other events to hear their concerns? Yes, he has held several town hall meetings and implemented the constituents’ demands for the year 2024
● Has he Influenced any Welfare Programme for his constituency? Yes, Hon. Ibe has successfully facilitated the ongoing FG SME grant wherein 400 constituents recently benefited from and over 1,500 constituents also benefited from the FG cash support to ease the effect of fuel subsidy removal. His recommendations have successfully secured 28 constituents’ employments in different parastatals, secured 2 International Study grant, granted 5 Constituents to a National Orientation/Empowerment Project and 10 Constituents who will be embarking on an improved Agricultural Training in Nasarawa State in no distant time.
● Has he secured any federal funding for projects in Arochukwu/Ohafia? Yes. He has secured
2 executed Federal funded projects, namely: (Supply and Provision of Rice to constituents to ease the effect of fuel subsidy removal;. Execution of the first phase of installation of integrated solar street light in selected communities (Ihenta, Amaekpu, NdiOrieke and Umunagwu in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency); 4 other projects awarded (including the rehabilitation of Oboro-Okagwe Road); 10 projects undergoing procurement process and many others awaiting approval.

Leadership:
● Has he taken a strong stance on any important issues facing Nigeria? Yes. Hon Ibe among 16 other National Assembly members are facilitating for the bill to revert the nation back to the parliamentary system of governance for effective leadership and democratic governance.
● How has he worked with other members of the National Assembly to achieve common goals? Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa is a strong voice in the National Assembly, and all the House Committees he belongs to can always testify to this fact. He, among other colleagues in different caucus and committees, have led the nation to its current state of effective shipping services, transparent and effective Digital Banking system, safety and standards regulations, alternative education, public petitions, Defense, midstream and downstream petroleum service, effective welfare of the National Assembly members, aides and staffs through the House services committee and his leadership role in the affairs of FCT Judiciary among others.
● Has he been a visible and vocal representative of his constituents? Yes, Hon Ibe’s legislative visibility speaks not just to his constituency but to the nation as a whole. As a proud Abia/Igbo,he is known for his signature attire of Ohafia Identity (OkpuAgu) and his continuous media appearance demanding dividend of democracy to his constituents and Nigeria at large.
In one year, Hon. Ibe has set a clear record in the 10th Assembly. I can proudly say that no lawmaker has spoken for his people more than Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa.

Transparency and Accountability:

● Has he made his office budget and expenditures publicly available? Yes, he made his budget for the year public in the last town hall meetings and always shared his salary among his appointed 30 aides to help him oversee all the challenges in the 22 wards of the constituency.
● Has he been responsive to media inquiries? He is very responsive to media inquiries and accountability
● Has he been involved in any scandals or controversies?No! Not at all!
Additional Considerations:
● You can compare Honorable Osonwa’s performance to that of other members of the National Assembly who are first timers and you will agree with me that he was fully prepared to represent the good people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituencyand he deserves all our support to do more.
