The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not responsible for Nigeria’s current economic challenges.
He made this statement while hosting orphans, widows, people living with disabilities, and the elderly at his Bende, Abia State country home on Sunday to celebrate his 53rd birthday.
During the event, the Deputy Speaker explained that previous administrations in the country had caused the current economic difficulties, and President Tinubu is working hard to fix them. He urged Nigerians to be patient with the current president, as his policies are beginning to yield positive results.
Kalu emphasized that the hardships Nigerians are facing were not caused by President Tinubu, and he is only working to clean up the mess left by previous administrations.
The lawmaker commended the president’s efforts to address the challenges he inherited, saying that Tinubu wants to improve the country’s economy and livelihoods.
