The Chairman of Abia State Chapter of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro, has stated that OMPAN members are impartial and not affiliated with any political party.
In a statement released on Monday in Umuahia, he emphasized that the association’s members are responsible for reporting the activities of both the government and opposition parties in the state.
The OMPAN Chairman further dismissed rumors that the association has become a stooge of the current administration in the state, stating that they are independent voices and cannot act in the interest of any special interest group, be it political, corporate, or cultural. He reiterated that everyone would have the opportunity to share their stories, and the association would maintain its impartiality.
Under his leadership, the members of the association will continue to develop strong relationships across different sectors and contribute to the state’s development.
