Police in Lagos State apprehended three suspected cable thieves in the Ojodu area during a stop and search operation. The suspects, identified as Babatunde Murutu, Segun Lawal, and Adebayo Iyanu, were found in possession of cables, screwdrivers, and scissors during a routine bag search conducted by officers from the Ojodu Division around 3:20 a.m.
Upon further interrogation and investigation, it was revealed that the trio had allegedly stolen the cables from a nearby building in the neighborhood. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesman for the state, confirmed the arrests on his verified handle @benHundeyin.

The suspects, Babatunde Murutu, Segun Lawal, and Adebayo Iyanu, are currently undergoing investigation, and they will be arraigned once the investigation is concluded. The swift action of the police underscores their commitment to combating theft and ensuring the safety and security of residents in Lagos State.
