In furtherance of his core objective for setting up ECK Foundation worldwide, the President and CEO of the humanitarian body has so far made good his promise to continue to change the lives of the youths through quality education at all levels. He believes in the philosophy that the best way to rescue the youths and take them off the street to tackle crime is to empower them through education, skills acquisition, and other vocational empowerment that can refocus their lives with purpose and hope.
Recall that in 2023, Miss Glory Oluchi Sunday, a 400-level student at Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ikwo in Ebonyi State, received money from the ECK Foundation totaling N60,000 Naira to cover her tuition, while other students at secondary levels have benefited from WAEC Registration, thereby putting a smile on the faces of those beneficiaries and greet relief to the families whom such burdens were lifted off their shoulders. This is like the tip of the iceberg considering the programs lined up by the humanitarian foundation to ease the pang of poverty upon humanity.
An instance is her recent signature to partner with sister foundations like Kpang Sanwi Chiefdom to support vulnerable women and widows in Taraba State and IG Aguowo foundations To Boost Education and healthcare in Anambra State.
Earlier today, in their Umuahia office, the ECK foundation received Mr. Emeka Njoku Mmadu, a representative of a student who received a scholarship from the foundation (his daughter), Miss Chigemezu D Mmadu a student of the Federal Government College, Abaji FCT. In her usual open and transparent approach to her activities, the foundation handed him the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira (250,000), in keeping with their core objectives.
Mr Mmadu, after receiving the money thanked the ECK foundation and the president Chief Dr.Emeka C Kalu for his magnanimity and selflessness in meeting the needs of the masses and prayed that God protect him and his family.
After the presentation, the members of staff of the foundation revealed the CEO’s powerful plans to begin a bursary program for all Abia Students in the University, especially, those of Abia North Senatorial District whose welfare takes the upper hand in his plans. They affirmed that the plans are already at an advanced stage and are expected to kickstart any time soon.
