…tells him it is a challenge to do more.
The 2024 “Widows Must Smile” annual event of Bishop Ambassador Emeka Nwankpa, has come and gone with it’s accompanying joy and excitement for the widows and indigent women who already know that their lives will be touched every year by the man of God that refers to them as his father’s wives because God is his father. To them it is another opportunity to be blessed with food, money and wrapper to look good till the next event.
To others like over 10 selected students who received cash donation of N100,000 each as support for their tuition, pending when the Bishop Emeka Nwankpa Foundation will be able to carry them on full scholarship in addition to over 47 Universities undergraduates and more than 140 secondary schools students, also under his scholarship. To these beneficiaries, it was a dream come through and a moral booster to put more effort in their academic performance. As captured by the young lady that spoke on their behalf, Miss Onyinyechi, a 200 level student of Michael Okpata University, this opportunity is a challenge for them to do better and finish well so that they can help to lift others. This is not farther from the truth.
For some indigent persons, especially who are trained in one skill or the other, it was extraordinary answer to their prayers as they were empowered with over 15 hair dryers and accompanying Hair Washer Seats. Others received over 10 modernized sewing machines, while over 10 women who were picked at random received 10 modernized grinding machines. this is in addition to over 100 bags of Rice, Hundreds of quality women wrappers and other pecks that made them women smile home. It was truly a display of philanthropy extaordinair.
But for one man who has proved himself loyal in service to the indefatigable, vociferous, multitalented and forward clergy, Comr Stanley Nduagu, the Chief Press Secretary, it was a surprise beyond his dreams and imagination to be blessed with a Toyota Highlander Car even without asking for it. His joy was overflowing after the announcement and he had to briefly abandon his duty as the MC of the event, leaving his master waiting to celebrate the car by opening and jumping into the driver’s seat for few minutes. Such was the extent of the joy.
For the kind giver, he made a point during his speech to announce the owner of the hitherto special gift. In his words:
“This man has proved himself worthy in service. He is behind successful organization of this event without much directives from me. Sometimes when we speak, even at midnight he will be on his way without a means of private transportation, ensuring every errand is completed , abandoning his kids, his job, and other private engagements to perfect this one meant to bless others.
“Then I thought to myself, it this young man can give so much to make others (especially the widows) smile, it will be encouraging to also make him smile. That was when I decided to buy this car to ensure that the assignments he has already taken upon himself becomes more smooth for him.
“By appointment, he is supposed to be my CPS, but by virtue of extension of his kind heart and dedication to duty, he is more like assistant at all areas to make this dream work. I urge him never to relent”.
On his part, while having a brief conversation with OHAFIATV News, Comr. Stanley Nduagu said that this gesture from his principal is a challenge for him to do more. He explained that he never dreamed that his blessings with come this fast and in such measures, but one significant thing is that he has always worked with dedication and passion to make everything successful, complimenting the efforts of Bishop Nwankpa who actions for the past 18 years has been a source of hope to many.
“It feels good and encouraging that in your course of service to make others happy you are identified and made to be happy with them, for this I am grateful and I am certain that I will put more and more efforts in my service to the extraordinary Philanthropist”, he concluded.
