Former Nigerian military Head of State General Ibrahim Babangida said history will judge him for his contribution to the country, saying he did his best.
Babangida claimed his greatest accomplishment was learning about the culture and making friends.
However, the former Nigerian leader admitted to using coercion and discussion when addressing journalists at his Hilltop home in Minna, Niger State.
His accomplishments as Head of State? “Number one is that I served the country the best I could.”
“It may not satisfy you, but I did my best; history will decide.
“I related well to the countrymen. Since I was well-traveled, I had no problems and learned more about the country.
“I made friends all over the country and thought that was one of the greatest achievements.”
According to IBB, young Nigerians ought to understand the country since they would lead nigeria.
As young people, you have an opportunity to get to know the country, study it, and understand its people. I think it will prepare you for leadership.
“You lead people like any other style. You become someone people go to for solutions to their difficulties or concerns, he said.
