The public and all interested parties have been notified by the Abia State Ministry of Health that the retake of the cancelled preliminary test session (PTS) for the nursing schools in Amachara and Umuahia will take place on Monday, December 4, 2023, and run through Thursday, December 7, 2023.

A press statement dated December 1st, issued by Ifeanyi Ezeocha, the Abia State Commissioner for Health, counselled those affected to get ready for the next test.

The press release did not include any additional information, but DAILY POST learned that more than 300 students who took part in the prior exercise were awaiting a date for the re-test.

The Abia State Ministry of Health official, who begged to remain anonymous, informed the Correspondent that the State government would see to it that the examination is carried out in an open setting.

He declared that there will be no additional fees for nursing students to retake the PTS exams, as had previously been guaranteed by the State administration.

A student named Michael Chidiebere, whose “successful” results were invalidated by the State government, also stated he was not frightened to retake the exam since he believed he would still do well on the tests the following week.

Chidiebere insisted that the results he got annulled were real and promised to take the second opportunity to demonstrate his abilities once more.
