Mr. Ibu’s former manager, Emeka Chochoo has explained why the police invited the actor’s adopted daughter, Jasmine, and two sons, Daniel and Val.
After weeks of social media debate over the actor’s account signature, Stella Maris, Mr. Ibu’s wife, ordered their arrests Wednesday evening.
On Instagram, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala said that Jasmine and the actor’s sons were arrested at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos for allegedly transferring N300 million from the actor’s account.
The boys of Jasmine and Ibu were apprehended at Alagbon Police Station. According to Ibu’s wife, “Jasmine pulled N300 million from the account. Ibu’s wife intended to buy her new house with the money raised for her treatment. That’s why she arrested Jasmine. But analysis shows the money provided isn’t even N300 million,” she stated.
Chochoo told our correspondent on Thursday that the police invited all three over the actor’s account.
“The police invited them over Mr. Ibu’s account, not arrest. Val is excluded because he doesn’t know what’s happened. He recently returned to the nation.
“I have not been able to reach any of them,” Chochoo stated.
Stella Maris declined to comment on the accusation when reached by our correspondent.
“Please, I do not want to say anything about it, please,” she begged before hanging up.
At the time of this report, all attempts to reach Jasmine failed.
Okafor requested public assistance after a medical issue.
The actor, who is recovering from many surgery, had one leg amputated.
