Emeka Ezeh, Head of Corporate Communications, Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, verified that the business lost supply from the grid around 11:31 a.m. on Tuesday in an exclusive interview with OHAFIATV News.

“In fact, we haven’t had supplies since around 11.31 a.m. In our network, sua has not been used. That is the predicament we are in, but there has been no actual proof of a systemic breakdown”, he said.

The president of the Nigeria Consumer Protection Network, Kunle Kola Olubiyo, stated on Tuesday afternoon that there had been another grid failure in the nation.

“Yet another grid failure. Reduced to 47 Hz, with no spinning reserve in the midst of load rejection? What’s happening? He wrote in a WhatsApp group post.

Parts of the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, were without electricity earlier on Tuesday, according to OHAFIATV News.

Abuja Distribution Company, on the other hand, blamed a feeder issue for the incident.
