The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB, has steadfastly maintained that exam results cannot be falsified.
The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, or UTME, results are not saved in the “cloud,” according to JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.
Oloyede claimed in his address to the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee that this makes it “practically impossible to fake JAMB’s results.”
Along with Ejikeme Mmesoma and her family, JAMB testified before the committee regarding the controversy surrounding the falsification of her UTME results.
Oloyede asserted that no flaws or weaknesses in the JAMB procedure could be found.
Oloyede asserts that in order to avoid this in the future, the public must exercise caution when making irrational claims and must have faith in government institutions.
“The general public should commend JAMB for its process and procedure.”
