The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization has accused agitator Simon Ekpa of starting a second Biafra war in the Southeast.
Ohanaeze made the charges while placing a $500, 000 bounty on Ekpa.
The group urged President Bola Tinubu to deploy soldiers to every area of the Southeast, according to Ohanaeze Secretary-General Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
“We are telling Tinubu that the second Biafra war has begun, and he should deploy soldiers to all the nooks and crannies of the Southeast,” Isiguzoro told OHAFIATV News.
“The Southeast governors require assistance, and Ohanaeze is requesting that the Southeast governors defend themselves against external enemies.”
“At this point, we can’t let someone in far-off Finland dictate the pace.”
“The government of Ebonyi State and the Southeast must ensure that Ekpa’s terrorist activities in his homeland are resolved.”
“What we mean is that Ekpa has declared a second civil war in the Southeast, and anyone with useful information will be rewarded with $500,000.”
“The Southeast governors appear to be weak, and they are dealing with Ekpa in the wrong way.” Our suspicions have been proven that Ekpa is destroying the Southeast’s economy.”
Following his sit-in, Ekpa has been at the center of a renewed crisis across the Southeast.
The latest sit-in had damaged the Southeast’s economy.
