The executive governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has been commended for inaugurating his commissioners just a few days ago and for all the excellent policies that have already been introduced. This commendation came from a good governance advocacy group operating under the auspices of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP), led by Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor (Ultimate Commander).

The UAAP applauded the governor for appointing knowledgeable individuals as commissioners and for thinking it appropriate to form a panel of inquiry to recover the stolen assets and funds of the state government, which, according to the group, would serve as a deterrent to others who might want to follow the same course.

UAAP added that they “have no doubt that Abia is about to witness a rare transformation” as they reiterated their support for Governor Alex Otti’s administration.

The organization asked all of the newly appointed commissioners to maintain their focus and support the governor’s agenda in order to bring his lofty visions for New Abia State to fruition.

“We admonish all of the Commissioners to stay focused and ensure that they launch initiatives and programs that will benefit the state and our students in the long run.

“The governor is giving you people a wonderful opportunity to serve Abians; don’t play around with it; give it your all,”

The group went on to express their congratulations to UAAP commissioners who had recently taken office.

As United Abia Artistes and Patriots pledged our readiness to work with all the commissioners and His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti OFR as partners in the industrialization and development of the state, we said, “Let’s especially congratulate Chaka Chukwumerije for this appointment. We want you to make us proud and prove to ndi Abia that UAAP members are asset to the state.
