Amos Oge KaluThe Sopurum Hotel in Onitsha, Anambra State’s Nkwelle neighborhood, has been completely destroyed by fire.
According to information obtained by OHAFIATV News, the event, which happened in the wee hours of Monday, caused a sizable portion of the hotel’s structure to catch fire.
At the time this report was filed, men from the fire services of the states of Delta and Anambra were combating the situation on the spot.
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, verified the fire incident to Channels TV and stated that everything is under control.
“We have control of the issue. The fire broke out at 4:30 am on Monday, and as soon as we learned about it, our guys mobilized to the spot and cordoned off the area to prevent vandalism, the official said.
