Following the successful inauguration and handover to the administration of Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, the Convener, Global Initiative for Good Governance, GIGG, Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, has sent in a hearty congratulations and assured commitment to the support of the new administration to move Abia State forward.

In a statement signed by the vocal politician, and sent to OHAFIATV News from his US Base, he reiterated his commitment to the Alex Otti administration who he said is going to face serious and arduous tasks in reengineering Abia state back to the path of progress and speedy development that has eluded her for many years.

“Truly, Abia state has not had it too good since its creation, but we must commend the efforts of those that have managed her affairs, they put in their best, but the challenges needed more than average.

“I have known Dr Alex Otti for long and I know his capabilities as a manager of human and capital resources that has the managerial and administrative know-how to steer Abia State to the path of even and timely development.

“I am glad he has taken steps in the right direction already by promising to do something about settling the salaries and arrears of Abia workers, God will strengthen him and make provisions for him to achieve that so that the citizens will smile once again” he prayed.

Dr Kalu, who is also the CEO of Dacoll Oil and Gas, USA, said that he and many others in diaspora are ever ready to bring foreign investors to support the new government and therefore charges the governor to create better and enabling environment that will make Abia state to once again become investors destination.

“Abia state will witness unprecedented foreign investment when security is in place and infrastructure is given a face lift. We in diaspora will do our very best to ensure that foreign investors will see Abia as a haven for good investment.

“I also urge the governor to look into improved health care systems as Abia Hospitals are presently more of a death traps than healing homes. I am optimistic that he will succeed.
