COALITION OF SOUTHERN AND MIDDLE BELT YOUTH LEADERS ASSEMBLY (COSMBYLA).
PRESS RELEASE
The Coalition of Southern and Middle Belt Youth Leaders Assembly, COSMBYLA, the umbrella body of all the youth group in South East, South South, South West and Middle Belt region call on Benue indigenes to vote wisely by voting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governorship candidate Mr. Titus Uba and PDP State House of Assembly candidates in the forthcoming governorship and State House of Assembly elections on 18th of May 2023.
Benue State became the number one state targeted for extermination when the All Progressive Congress, APC, came into power and for 8 years the killings and attacks of Benue State have not abated.
The pronounce democracy dividends of the APC government since her inception is the Killings and attack by Fulani terrorists and Jihadists on Benue indigenes in order to take over their ancestral lands and homes. The attacks by fulani herdsmen under the watchful eyes of the APC government have produced over 1.8 million IDPs which is the highest in the country.
Without mincing words, a vote for the APC in the forthcoming elections amounts to dancing on the graves of Benue indigenes killed by Fulani terrorists who has the backing of the APC government.
A vote for the APC in Benue state literally means a mockery of Benue indigenes who were sacked from their ancestral homes and are now living in IDPs where the state government is spending heavily to take care of them.
Benue indigenes should know that you cannot see light through darkness. APC is darkness and should be discarded and thrown into the dustbin. Those candidates presented by the APC government in other to get the votes of Benue indigenes is a Greek gift and should be ignored. A bad party cannot turn to be a good party overnight .
The major manifesto of the APC government is to sack Benue indigenes from their ancestral lands and a vote for them will help to make it a reality.
APC represent darkness as exemplified by killings by fulani terrorists and Jihadists parading as herdsmen. It is not possible to see any good under the same government and party that is keeping quiet when the Benue indigenes are killed and rendered homeless. The party in the state that has stood behind the Benue is the Peoples Democratic Party ably led by Governor Samuel Ortom.
The attacks on Benue indigenes by Fulani terrorists under the APC led federal government is a well calculated attempt to send Benue people out of their ancestral lands and homes.
Governor Samuel Ortom has shown capacity to protect his people and he has always stood firm to defend the ancestral lands of the Benue people and Rt. Hon. Titus Uba as Speaker and PDP Governorship candidate in the state is fully committed to the cause of protecting and working very hard for the betterment of Benue State when elected on 18 March, 2023.
Rt. Hon.Titus Uba’s manifesto shows that he means well for Benue people. A vote Mr Uba and other PDP House of Assembly candidates is a vote for good governance and protection of Benue people and their lands from intruders and terrorists.
Though we are non-partisan in all sense of the word but it would be a disservice on our part if we fail to do the needful by guiding our people correctly from making the wrong choice.
Come March 18, 2023 we urge all Benue indigenes and residents to come out enmasse and vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Candidate Mr. Titus Uba and State House of Assembly candidates for good governance.
We should always remember that he who stands solidly behind you in times of trials is your true friend. Benue PDP is your true friend.
