There is a saying in Igbo land that once a man shifts from fighting and starts throwing sand, it is a sign that he has accepted defeat and is in total surrender. This scenario can best describe the cheap propaganda from media handlers of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who is canvassing for reelection in 2023 amidst his dwindling acceptance due to his anti people’s antics over time.

But it is rather unfortunate that he, through his media handlers has chosen to adopt lies and propaganda as a means of staying relevant like a man clawing at all straws to save himself from drowning.

For the avoidance of doubt, it is now a known fact that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu had since adopted the method of appearing at every gathering by carrying an entourage to form a forum he will address. It is now an open secret. He has adopted this method because the Obidient movement has forced the believers of “money-induced structure” like APC to understand that the electorates are the real structure, not the bullion van mirage. They now go with the crowd to appear relevant.

On the 1st day of February 2023. The campaign team of Chief Nnamdi Iro Oji, in their usual magnanimity, visited Amuma, Ufiele, Ndi Ibe, Eziafor, Ndi Orieke, and Akanu, all in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia North Senatorial Zone where they were cordially received by the lovers of freedom in Abia North. As at the time the entourage was leaving Eziafor, OUK was incidentally coming to the same village with his team, unfortunately, on getting to his venue, he met empty seats (as usual) and quickly covered up with his entourage before the people he induced with rice and money came.

Also worthy of mention is that Labour Party Team held their visit as a town hall meeting in Eziafor (inside a hall), while OUK was in the open field. Their venue was never the same place and time, there was no parallel campaign that made room for such a claim, one then wonders at what point the LP supporters abandoned their candidate to join OUK. This is childish, funny, lies, and propaganda taken too far to score cheap political points. His handlers are by this advice to be more mature and smart in dishing out lies that are difficult to believe.

The 2023 election is not a novelty race, it is a fair contest between backwardness and a better future for our people. The Labour Party family will not be distracted by cheap lies until the message of OBIDIENT and emancipation is preached in the land. APC and her candidates must refrain from their desperation approach, it is not the nature of Obidents to hire a crowd to impress the media, rather, negotiation, town hall meetings and grassroots sensitization remain our guiding principle to victory.
