The Abia North Youths Agenda, ANYA, a pressure group in support of good governance and equity has praised Abia State governor, HE Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D., for coming clean on his support for the Labour Party Presidential candidate for the 2023 general election, saying that it is strong proof that the amiable governor understands the yearnings and heartbeat of his people, albeit, the Nigerian masses whose earnest desire is to be free from greedy political elites.
In a press release by the National Coordinator of ANYA, Hon Udoeze Kalu, it is clear now that the fight by the G5 governors against injustice in Nigeria is premised on the welfare of the people, equity, and fair play which will ensure that every member of the entity called Nigeria is given a sense of belonging through equal representation at all levels.
“It was the turn of Ndigbo to produce Nigeria present to balance the scale of leadership in Nigeria. but some desperate politicians with born to rule mentality thought otherwise and called the bluff of others. What the G5 governors have done is a step in the right direction, a challenge to the status quo to get things right. Ikpeazu has just shown tenacity and capacity by supporting Obi over Atiku in the presidential race.
“I call on Abia North citizens resident in Abia South Senatorial Zone to throw their weight behind Ikpeazu to emerge the senator representing the zone”, he said
