Abia State is blessed, and like every other state of the federation, she deserves better, her citizens are desirous of good health, quality education, better welfare packages for civil servants, better employment opportunities for her teeming youths, and hope for the future. Unfortunately, she has been denied all these for almost two decades as a result of a lack of purpose and direction in handling her affairs by successive leaders since 1999. The time to change the narrative is long overdue.
When Bishop Emeka Michael Nwankpa (a servant of God) threw his hat in the ring for the race to the Lion House, Abia State seat of power, he did so out of defining the painful realities of the forlorn nature of disrepair and suffering Abians are made to face, a reality that has made Abia a point of reference at times of mockery in Nigeria. A condition that has made concerned Abians home and abroad wriggle with pain when dealing with others. This alone was enough to spur the maverick clergyman into rising to the occasion to work hard as a governor, restore sanity, and hand the state back to the people.
Bishop Emeka Nwankpa insists that no candidate is better qualified than him at this moment to translate the Abia vision because leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality, assuring that the reality of the moment is to get Abia working again.
The ACCORD gubernatorial candidate, therefore, seeks the support of the people to work together with him to ensure he emerges the governor so that he can address the myriad of challenges facing the state. If in his corner as a preacher, he has successfully blessed the youths through empowerment, cared for the widows for over a decade, and always fended for the poor and the needy, he believes he can do much better with the right support and means if he has done so much from his pocket.
A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, and his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves

The challenge is for the Abia electorates to understand the need to vote right in February 2023. They must choose a man from the pulpit who has no baggage on him, and who is not part of the failed system because only such men as Bishop Dr. Emeka Michael Nwankpa can salvage Abia State.
