The APGA Family has taken her message of hope and liberation to Okamu Ward of Ohafia South Constituency where they preached liberation, emancipation, and development to the people of Okon-Aku Ohafia who came out in their numbers to welcome the August visitors on their familiarization visit to the ward.
One of the topics that took the center stage of the discourse is the need for the electorates to stand up to their civic duty of electing the right candidates that will work together with the people to tackle poverty, underdevelopment, and unemployment that has characterized the government of the day where workers go home for months to survive with their families without their salaries. A state where pension, gratuity, and other emoluments have become a story of “Alice In Wonderland”, with no hope in sight. Workers wake up at the end of every month to accept the reality that expecting salaries is a bad nightmare.
Speaking to journalists at the end of the high-powered meeting, the Host and campaign coordinator for the AGPA campaign in Okamu Ward, Hon Mmecha Udensi, expressed joy at the positive response, goodwill, and support the party has continued to enjoy in Okamu Ward, calling on the people to ensure their number is translated into votes in a few months from now.
“What we experienced here today is simple proof that the people need change, they need a solution to Abia’s problem because they are hungry and angry. But I assure you that Prof Greg Ibe is the man that will offer respite to the endless challenges of bad leadership in the state because he is well experienced, and a good manager of human resources to steer Abia back to the path of development as Governor.
“This is not time for party sentiments, it is time to stand for what is right and take back our state. I am urging everyone to vote APGA all through because this is our own, this is the only party that understands the yearnings and aspirations of Ndigbo”, he said.
After thank-you gifts of Bags of Rice and Cartons of Noodles to say thank you to the numerous supporters, the leaders urged the people to shine their eyes as 2023 has offered them the opportunity to correct leadership error and take the state back. Mmecha specifically appealed for support for Dr. Ukuji Oreh, the House of Representatives Candidate as well as other contenders of the APGA Party.
“One thing APGA can boast of is fielding very capable candidates for all positions. DR Okuji Oreh is undoubtedly the best man to fix the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, the only man with the prerequisites to offer dividends of democracy to the people because he understands their yearnings and aspirations. A vote for him, and other APGA candidates will change our fortunes for the best”.
The guests left with optimism and excitement for the warm reception they were corded with during their visit.
