An IT expert and governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in Abia State, Dr Ukpai Iro Ukpai has promised to utilize modern technology to drive governance in Abia State when elected as governor come 2023.

Speaking in an interactive session with selected clergymen, under the platform, Igbo Gospel Ministerscare Forum in Aba, Abia state, the frontline governorship candidate reiterated that his government will use technology to tackle all the perennial Underdevelopment challenges in the state and also used the opportunity to assure the people of his readiness to hit the ground running from the first day as he assumes office.

In his opening remarks, the leader of the group, Bishop Frank Obasi, said they’re declaring their support for the NNPP candidate because of his reputation as an eminent leader, IT expert and his disposition as an incorruptible personality.

“We are blessed to have Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai, a transformative and visionary politician as flagbearer. We are making our presence felt in Abia State by working with and supporting his candidature.

“We know our candidate is keen on technology as a vehicle for economic and social transformation, which is completely lacking in Abia, so, we need every church, families and individuals to throw their weight behind the NNPP governorship flagbearer” He said.

The event ended with a special prayer session for the success of the Guber candidate, his entourage and other NNPP candidates in the state. Dr. Ukpai was accompanied to the occasion by Hon.Jonah Mbah, the Deputy Director Dr. Ukpai Campaign Organisation, DUCO and other party supporters.
