Amos KaluOn November, 26th, The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP Gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai, proved that he is not all talks when he says he has identified the exact problems of Abia State and had figured out practical solutions to them with a singular purpose of changing the economic status of the state for the better.
The foundation of every state is the education of its youth.

For the umpteenth time, at every forum, Dr. Ukpai Iro has insisted that training and empowering youths in ICT is the panacea to bringing the state into a modern tech-age economy that will place her on a better trajectory to a world-class economy, the best in Nigeria and the pride of Africa. That is what informed his relentless drive to raise at least 1500 youths even before he takes the saddle as the Governor of God’s OWN State.
We want our legacy to stand upon the youth. We want to give knowledge to the younger generation and be a part of changing the game.

Looking at Abia’s IGR, her rising debt stock, her dilapidated infrastructure, and her scary population growth projection amid poverty and unemployment, I believe that revenue will be king from now. I believe that the way to join in the race for revenue is to join in the global tech race, no matter how small.
I am convinced that we need to prepare Abians, especially our youths, to join in the tech race. That’s why we are running the Dr. Ukpai Youth Techpreneurs Bootcamp in the three Abia Senatorial zones, starting from Abia South, starting from Aba, ENYIMBA CITY.
Let me give a tip to Abians from what professionals think about our game plan.
Digitalization is the way forward. With the digitalization of government, every transaction has a footprint. With footprints, we can trace, track, and catch any corrupt practices in government. Digitalization will reduce the cost of governance.

My government will commit to creating the digital infrastructure and training our people, especially the Youths and adults who are young at heart.
When we invite registrants for the more intensive tech programs as government after May 29, 2023, by God’s grace, the 1500 or more youths who register and attend these initial boot camps in the 3 Senatorial zones will be given the right of first refusal to be further intensively trained for months into wealth creators in a government led by Dr. Ukpai from May 29, 2023, by God’s grace.
The Abia State government under Dr. Ukpai will expose many of the successful youths to employers abroad and in Africa and take some to man-sensitive positions in Abia State.
This initial Bootcamp serves as a foretaste of what the youths and parents should expect from an NNPP government led by Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai.
I call on Abians to ensure that Tech takes over from 2023 by going out en masse to vote where is drawn a basket full of fresh fruits. Vote NNPP across the board.
To our youths attending this Aba Bootcamp and the one coming up in Ohafia and Umuahia, I say like the Cadillac advert “dare greatly”.
