The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party for the 2023 general election in Abia, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai, has congratulated Hon Justice Lillian Agbai on her appointment as the acting Chief Judge of Abia State, saying that it is a well-deserved appointment coming to Abians at a time justice system in the land needed the best hands to adjudicate on the constantly evolving issues in our land as the courts remain the last hope of the common man.

Recall that the Governor of Abia State had on the 27th day of October 2022, sworn in Hon Justice Lilian Agbai into the elevated position of Acting Chief Judge of Abia State to oversee the smooth running of the justice system in the state.

Speaking to Newsmen in Umuahia, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai described Justice Agbai as a professional with all the relevant competences, experience, and charisma to continue to build on and eventually turn around the justice system of Abia State as well as to make the right impact in the overall judicial system of Nigeria at large.

“This is an appointment well deserved, merited, and timely too. Justice Agbai, Lilian I know is an astute professional and I must say her appointment is a step in the right direction by the administration of Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D., I have no iota of doubt that she will deliver to her full capacity for the good of Abians and the glory of God.

“I heartily congratulate her on this lofty assignment, praying God to give her wisdom to deliver in her assignment until the dignity and pride of our justice system is restored” he prayed.
