The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, 2023 Gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai, and his Campaign Team continued their spirited effort at deepening the grassroots movement for greater Abia State because he believes that only by tackling Abia State challenges at the grassroots level that a serious leader can make the much-needed impacts in the areas of development, education, infrastructure, and enhancement of human capital resources of the state.

On 18th October 2022, the determined and focused contender for the number one seat at the Lion House, Abia State arrived at Akoli Imenyi as scheduled for a serious Town hall meeting with the people and supporters of his ambition where he and his team were received by the NNPP House of Assembly candidate for Bende South Constituency, Hon Chijioke Mbalaso and other members of NNPP, as well as numerous party faithful.

The meeting was frank and successful as there was a serious jaw-jaw between the flag bearer and his ardent supporters who came out to lay out their expectations of the man that is ready to make a difference in the management of affairs of Abia State beyond 2023.

Dr. Ukpai Iro assured the people of his commitment to improving the life and welfare of Abians at all levels, promising to be a listening leader because he feels the pulse of the people and knows how to tackle them headlong within a few months in office.

In appreciation, the people of Akoli Imenyi promised to deliver their votes in block to the leader with the fear of God who can engender transparency, accountability, development, and good governance in Abia State, a virtue that has eluded the state for too long.
