Without freedom, we don’t have a name, one vision, one identity, one nation. If our country is worth dying for during wars, we should also realize that it’s worth living for in time of peace!

While honouring our Heroes past who fought to bring us independence, Let us also honour every patriot, dead and alive who ensured that Abam Onyerubi is what it is today. I therefore honour, Late Chief S. N. Okpi, Late Chief Nkochi, Late Dr. Oreh, Late Chief Kalu Okereke Kalu, Late Chief Idika Omenka, because without them, freedom would not have existed. What they did, we can never repay.

Remember, my love for my Abia State is worthiness. My love for my people (Abam) is endless. All I desire for my constituency is happiness.

We are blessed to be born in an independent nation and we must always thank all those who brought us this freedom.
