The National Coordinator, People’s Democratic Party Coalition, PDPCO, Chief Dr Emeka C. Kalu, has expressed worries and concern over the state of affairs of Nigeria Nation under the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari, whom he said has run Nigeria to a hopeless standstill without any solution in sight.

In a statement singed by his Media Aide, Comr Amos Kalu, and made available to the press on Monday, Dr Kalu said that the reason why he has not spoken of recent is because he has run short of words to describe what Nigerians have been forced to face in recent times from insecurity to political instability, dwindling economy and uncertainty of our prevalent political atmosphere.

Addressing the Edo State issue, Chief Kalu said that only the will of the people will prevail and unless same is respected, bad precedence will be set against 2023.

“You can witness what is going on in Edo State where few desperate men want to impose their self on the people against their wish. But we’re heading somewhere as APC has told the people that they do not have a candidate in Edo State. The candidate you see, Ize-Iyamu is Adams Oshiomhole’s candidate and that tells you all you need to know” he said.

Addressing the NDDC issue, Dr Kalu who is also the DG of Global Initiative for Good Governance, GIGG, expressed surprise at why President Buhari is still dragging his feet in response to calls for suspension of Senator Akpabio to pave way for thorough and true probe, but rather chose to pump more money into Auditing the agency while the culprits sits firmly on his throne. He said that it is another ploy to make money available for his loyal boys to loot.

“For this administration, everything has become a joke. You approve billions to audit an agency but even with staggering evidence you could not find courage to at least suspend the man who precided over the fraud pending when he will be cleared. That is the kind of corruption fighting we practice in Nigeria.

“Imagine the trending shame of commissioning a half baked International Airport in Enugu after gulping N10Billion of tax payers money. Why were there in a hurry to commission the project if they still had some atom of dignity left in them.

“My anger is not in the fact that the Airport is not competed yet and can never pass for international Airport. My anger is why they are rushing to commission it now. Who are they trying to please, what’s their motive, what political card are they trying to play with the Airport?
These are questions that should be begging for answers and I know become long, the antics of this show of shame will come to light” Kalu said.

He called for investigation into the unfortunate killing that too place in Emene Enugu where group of innocent citizens were hacked down.

“I wish that the government should set up a panel to unravel the remote and immediate causes of the unfortunate incident that took place in Enugu State.

“Unless we begin to place value on human lives in Nigeria, we are far from achieving the Peace and Unity for which we have sacrificed much for”.
