The Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu today at his country home in Amaekpu Ohafia hosted the newly inaugurated PDP Ward Chairmen from the five Wards in Ohafia South.

According to the Deputy Speaker who is the leader of the Party in Ohafia South, the essence of his meeting with the new Ward Excos was to congratulate them on their victories during the Congress as well as on their successful inauguration.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu reminded them that the success and failure of the party at their various domains now lie within their hands and hence the need for them to live up to expectations in helping the party retain it’s rightful position as the leading/ruling party in the state.

The vibrant law maker also charged them to carry every member of the party along in all of their programs and activities.

He advised them to reach out to every aggrieved member of the party and ensure unity of purpose among members of the party.

Continuing, the Deputy Speaker informed them of the need to give maximum support to the leader of the party in the state, Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (Ph.D) and the state Executive of the Party.

In their responses, the five Ward Chairmen of the PDP in Ohafia South; Barr. Imo Enyinnaya Orji (Isiama), Hon. Ngwobia Obasi (Ebem Oha), Elder Micah Mecha Okoro (Okamu), Sculptor Chikezie Ukaha (Ohafor) and Hon. Okoro Amogu of Ania Ward PDP all thanked the Deputy Speaker for being a true leader and committed member of the Party.

They also thanked the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, the State Leadership of the PDP, PDP stakeholders in Ohafia as well as other PDP members in their various wards for finding them worthy to represent/lead them.

They all promised to work round the clock to ensure the victory of the party in any election in the state.

Highlight of the meeting was a prayer for the success of the Party in Ohafia, Abia State and the Country at large.
