Nigeria has recorded 87 COVID-19 related deaths in 18 States, according to statistics provided on the website of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
A total of 170 new confirmed cases and two deaths were reported on Sunday, May 3.
Only two States are yet to have any case across the country: Cross River and Kogi.
Of the 34 States that have Coronavirus cases, Gombe, Bauchi, Kwara, Ondo, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Enugu, Taraba, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Plateau, Niger, Imo, Abia, Anambra and Benue states don’t have any casualties yet.
Lagos has recorded 30 deaths so far, the highest in the country.
Borno is next with 12, while Sokoto and Katsina are next with eight and seven deaths, respectively.
400 patients have been discharged out of the 2,558 cases in Nigeria.
However, the five-week lockdown imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari, will be relaxed from today.
Selected businesses and workers will resume work, as the government seeks to find a balance between saving the economy and the health of its citizens.
