In the build up to the Guinea Bissau second round of Presidential election, a popular survey commissioned by PAIGC Candidate Domingos Simões Pereira (DSP) who has since hid the result of the survey due to the bad news that Madem G-15’s Umaro Sissoco Embalo (USE), could reach 56% of the valid votes in the Second lap or even more.

According to the Survey, Umaro Sissoco Embalo is expected to ganner up to 56% in the second shift due to the goodwill he is enjoying from numerous alignment with other powerful candidates in the first rounds of the election. This popular research was carried out by analysts and experts in West African elections (Aeaaeao)

According to sources of the PAIGC Council, alliances with minority parties, which in the first round of the elections managed to get 1,45 %, may not have effect, because they are parties that had no electoral bases.

According to the same source, the survey was carried out between the 2nd AND 6th of Dec, 2019, of 2205 people interviewed across the country, 55% say they will vote for MADEMG-15 candidate Umaro Sissoco Emballo, while about 43% say they will vote For PAIGC Candidate, Domingos Simões Pereira, 1% says they still doesn’t know who they will vote for and 1% says they won’t vote.
