PRESS STATEMENT – 7/9/2019

The evil wind of xenophobia has continued to damage the fabrics of Africa peace, prosperity and progress in the most negative and unprecedented quantum because we allowed the evil seed to be planted, we nurtured it to grow and the fruit it is bearing will linger in our memory as it will be a clog in the deepening relationship among Africa nations that is the only panacea to a progressive Africa.

In a statement issued from his USA base and signed by his aid on media and publicity, Comr. Amos Kalu, the Director General of Atikulated Agenda Worldwide and Global Initiative for Good Governance, Chief Dr. Emeka condemned the ugly trend of xenophobia sweeping across Africa as a result of actions of South Africa Citizens which have in turn generated ripples of chain reaction that has been damaging.

Lamented the rate the South Africans has taken upon themselves to kill and burn fellow Africa ns as well as destroying their property worth billions, describing it as callous and unwarranted action in a civilized Africa of 21st first Century.

Chief Kalu also argued that no provocation is enough to go to such lowest ebb of human senselessness.

“Anyone that using the excuse that Some Africans, including Nigerians are destroying South Africa (as alleged), is dueling in deception and celebrating evil. That is the reason why we have security apparatus in every nation to fish out the bad eggs and jail them or deport them. Deciding to destroy legitimate businesses to revenge the actions of few bad eggs is the most insensitive thing to do.

“It is unfortunate that the people engaging in this madness are not contemplating how badly this will reflect on the South African economy in the nearest future. Are they ready to brace the impact of their actions against the economy? He quarried.

He therefore called on Nigeria government to use all means available to her to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians living in South Africa.

Chief Kalu also called on Nigerians who are retaliating to sheath their sword as government is already engaged in many diplomatic approaches to end the saga once and for all both at home and in South Africa.

In conclusion, Chief Kalu expresses regret for any citizen that may have been affected by these unfortunate incidences and called on the governments of Nigeria and South Africa to find a permanent lasting solution that will curb the rising ugly trend on the soils of Africa.
